He was predeceased by: his father Herbert Jungemann. He is survived by: his mother Verla Jungemann (Manfall) of Seward; his sisters, Gale Jungemann-Schulz (Robin Schulz) of Seward and Loa Jansen (Scott) of Denver, Colorado; his nieces, Dana, Jacquelyn, Rachael and Laura; his nephew Brian; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Linda Gierhan, Alan Weigle, Kevin, Janelle Potratz, Kent, Beth Einspahr, Don, Sue Sylwester, Marcile Brehmer and John Rooney.

Lon has requested that any memorials in his name be donated to the Computer Science program at Concordia University.
