It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Janicek of Seward, Nebraska, who passed away on October 29, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Janicek and Laura Janicek (Schmit); his wife LaVetta Janicek; and his great grandchild Carson Bomar. He is survived by: his children, Gail Bomar (Mel) of Columbus, NE, Wendy Marquis (Myron) of Courtland, KS, Joyce Thorson (Allan) of Hay Springs, NE, Jeri Truksa (Dan) of David City, NE, Theresa Ingram (Mark) of Shelby, NE, Gary Janicek (Connie) of Seward, NE and Greg Janicek (Ronda Hogan) of Spirit Lake, IA; and his brother Melvin Janicek of Columbus, NE.. He is also survived by 20 Grandchildren 33 Great Grandchildren.
