Evelyn Shannon Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Shannon of Seward, Nebraska, who passed away on April 23, 2021 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Gaskill and Eva Gaskill (Pitt); her husband John B. Shannon; her granddaughter Ginger Hornik Armstrong; her great grandchildren, Chad Shannon and Garrett Hornik; her siblings, Edith Wimmer and John Gaskill; her daughters-in-law, Lois Shannon and Delores Shannon; and her grandson-in-law Blaine Hayes.
She is survived by: her children, John C. Shannon (Gina Deuel) of Columbus and Lavonne Hornik (Nivan) of Norfolk; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Davis (Rob) of Norfolk, Marie Reuter (Dwight) of Norfolk and Richard Hornik of Norfolk.
Memorials may be made for the Norfolk Veterans Home where she volunteered many hours up until the age of 101.
