Elsie Steinauer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 24, 2022, at the age of 107, Elsie Steinauer of Seward, Nebraska, born in Table Rock, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Petrasek and Mary Anna Petrasek (Kovanda); her husband John Steinauer; and her close friend Shirley Argo. She is survived by: her niece Martha "Marti" Feit (Gene) of Elkhorn; her close friend Sandy Shaw (Kenny) of Seward; her nephew Martin Huff (Lisa) of Lincoln; her nieces, Monica Haning (Sterling) of Kansas City, MO, Jeanne Huff of York and Donna Huff of Lenexa, KS; and her cousins, Sally Myers and Billie Myers of Winchester, VA. She is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews and numerous family members and friends.
In 2020 and 2021, during the Covid pandemic, Elsie's 105th and 106th birthdays were celebrated with a drive-by birthday parade with police and firetruck escorts.
Memorials may go to the St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Steinauer or St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Seward, Nebraska.
