He was predeceased by: his sister Eileen Kennedy; his parents, Elmer Mathis and Elsie J. Brown Mathis; his parents-in-law, Henry and Ella Daehling; his brother Ray Mathis; and his siblings-in-law, Al Kennedy, Daryl and Vivian Daehling.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Mathis, Dena Mathis (Guy Clemens) and Derek Mathis (Suzy Mathis); his grandchildren, Blake Mathis, Blair Mathis, Jaden Clemens and Brylee Mathis; his great grandchild Duke LaCaille; his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Mathis and Sherry Daehling; and his friends, Airborne Rose, Ribbon, Wings and Pastor Shawn Kitzing. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
