Anita L. Kozisek Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anita L. Kozisek of Seward, Nebraska, born in David City, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 6, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ladislav Pekarek and Mary Pekarek (Truksa); her grandparents, Joseph, Aloysia Pekarek, Anton and Antonia Truksa; her sisters-in-law, Polly Pekarek and Irene Kozisek; and her niece Lauren Pekarek.
She is survived by: her daughter Cathy Fleming (Dan Martin); her husband Bernard Kozisek; her stepchildren, Greg (Megan Kozisek) and Ranae Smith; her grandchildren, Sidney, Austin Matthias, Jay, Lynn Smith, Reese and Grant Kozisek; her siblings, Teresa Behrends (Daryl), Mary Brady (Dave), Jeany Jasnoch, Patricia Keller (Lew), Loretta Pekarek, Jim Pekarek, Jerome Pekarek (Norma) and Dwight; and her siblings-in-law, Darlene Kucera, LuAnn Hofpar, Emma Rose and Doug McGee.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Zabka - Perdue Funeral Home - Seward (410 Jackson Ave, Seward, NE 68434). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Bohemian National Cemetery (2080 30 Rd, Brainard, NE 68626).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Brainard Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department or to the Butler County Health Foundation.
