She was predeceased by: her husband Harold; her parents, Perry and Grace; her stepfather Vern Kimball; and her sisters, Betty Bullock and Mary Louise Cain.

She is survived by: her children, Dirk McClary (Charlene), Michael McClary, Paula Thomas (Jay) and Overland Park; her sister Joyce Johnson (Harlan) of Frankfort; and her siblings-in-law, Dennis McClary (Sharlene) of Loup City and Cheryl Larsen (Ron) of Frankfort.

Memorial donations may be made in JoAnne's name to Eastridge Nursing Facility of Centralia, Kansas.
