With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernice V. Stumpe (Scribner, Nebraska), who passed away on November 29, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold and Viola'Flamme'Schnoor; her former husbands, Melvin Killingsworth and Clifford C. Vakiner; her children, Randy Killngsworth, Clifford'Bud'Vakiner and Cathy Groene; her grandson Ryan Groene; her son-in-law Delwin Smeal; her brothers, LeRoy and William Schnoor; and her sister-in-law Diane Schnoor.
She is survived by: her husband Lorence Stumpe; her children, Cindy Vrba (Frank), Sheri Killingsworth, Jerry Killingsworth (Linda), Russel Vakiner and Vicki Smeal; and her children-in-law, Robin Groene, Donna Vakiner and Patrice Vakiner.
Viewing was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel (509 Main St, Scribner, NE 68057). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church (600 Baker St, Scribner, NE 68057).
