She was predeceased by: her parents, Benno and Sylvia'Toelle'Michaelis; her husband Duane Popken of John's Ridgeley Lutheran Church; her siblings, Arlene French, Bob, Jim and Kenneth Michaelis; and also Duane.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Pribnow (Jim) of Scribner, Cindy Settles (Alan) of Scribner and Brian Popken (Cindy) of Scribner; her siblings, Ruth Nagengast of West Point and Dennis Michaelis (Linda) of Salem, Oregon; and her sisters-in-law, Ione Popken of Fremont and Sharon Michaelis of Dodge. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church (910 Grant St, Scribner, NE 68057). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Recorded Funeral Service. A wake was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church (910 Grant St, Scribner, NE 68057). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Joseph Retirement Community or St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
