He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard West and Katherine West (Herdt); and his wife Ruth Margaret West. He is survived by: his brother Melvin (Doris West); his children, Doug (Teri West), Terry (Kristi West) and Jeni (Kevin Stansbury); and his grandchildren, Brian (Erin West), Sara (Adam Breed), Megan Rae West, Brandon Cooper, Katie Cooper, Erin (Paul Ewalt), Amy (Tom Rice), Adam (Lauren West) and Andrew (Anna West). He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or the Western Nebraska Veterans Home.
