He was predeceased by: his father William Bye; and his grandparents, Lester, Catherine Hoppe, Sherban and Sylvia Bye.

He is survived by: his mother Betty Steeg; his son Reid Bye; his siblings, Staci Bye, Scott Garvin, Steve Garvin and Bryon Garvin; his aunt Cathy Rotherham; and his uncle Guy Hoppe. He is also survived by many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
