He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted C. Grieb and Bernice Zimmerman (Unzicker); his stepfather Don Zimmerman; and his siblings, Collette Hessler and Marc.

He is survived by: his son Billy Grieb (Shannon) of Scottsbluff; his grandchildren, Brandon Grieb of Denver, CO and Ashton Kipp (Kate) of Scottsbluff; his great grandchildren, Embyr and Paisley Kipp of Scottsbluff; his sister-in-law Peggy Segelke (Kevin) of Bayard; his nieces, Katie Segelke (Tonia) of Scottsbluff, Kim Graves (Nate) of Scottsbluff, Kassie Harris (Trevor) of Scottsbluff, April Strom (Nate) of Scottsbluff and Debra Hajek (Steve) of Gering; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kacey Segelke (Mark) of Scottsbluff, Nicolaus Absalon of Scottsbluff, Kobe of Scottsbluff and Alayna Strom of Scottsbluff.
