He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Knoedler and Velma Knoedler (Stull); his daughter Julie Anne; his siblings-in-law, Jess, Ruby Wilson and Larry Wilson; and his great-nephew Greg Van Pelt.

He is survived by: his wife Deanna "LuVerne" Wilson; his daughters, Brenda and Vicki Howell (Roy) of Torrington; his grandchildren, Brenda Davis (Arick) of Yuma, CO, Levi Dobbs of Scottsbluff, Brianne Snell (Cameron) of Loveland, CO, Lacie Stricker (Clayton) of Gering, Michael Schuler (Kassadie) of Torrington, Aaron Stott (Brandi Vigil) of Sidney, Tyson Howell of Pekin, IL and Brittany Howell of Torrington; his great grandchildren, Peyton Snell of Ft Collins, CO, Emma Snell of Loveland, CO and Preslie Dobbs of Gering; his sister Kathy Van Pelt (George) of Harrisburg, NE; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Nielsen of Gering and Janet Wilson of Scottsbluff. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
