It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyle S Thompson of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, who passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lyle may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lyle touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Thompson and Ruth Thompson (Robinson). He is survived by: his wife Helen Earline Thompson; his children, Debbie Findley (Chip), Wanda Richardson (Doug) and William Thompson (Jan); and his brother Jerry Thompson (Lori). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to Mount Carmel School, 75 Mill Creek Lawson Road, Jackson, Kentucky 41339.
