He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Alfred and Matilda Hazel Potter (Green); and his former wife Phyllis Keslar. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Merritt; his sister Luella Hughes; his daughters, Patricia Lee (Paul), Kathleen Hubbard (Robin) and Donna Gimeson (Dewayne); and his stepchildren, Scott, Jayson, Clark Merritt and Tracy O'Connor. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Gering Methodist Church, Hospice, or the foster grandparent program.
