Leonard Theodore touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Loxterkamp (Ben) and Irene Loxterkamp (Beyer); his wife Virginia Lee Filiatrault (Kinney); his children, Wayne and Lori Ann; his grandson Ryan Barry; and his siblings, Donald, Gladys and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his children, James Loxterkamp of Lingle, WY and Rene Barry of Casper, WY; his grandchildren, Sean Barry (Heidi) of Gillette, WY, Bailey Loxterkamp of Eckley, CO and Karlie Kral (Josh) of Fort Morgan, CO; his daughter-in-law Julie Meis of Yuma, CO; his sisters-in-law, LaDonna Loxterkamp of Bridgeport, NE and Naomi Loxterkamp of Broadwater, NE; and his friends, Kevin Sandberg, Linda Harimon, Tom and Bobbi May. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering to celebrate Leonard's life will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Western Nebraska Veterans Home, please use main entrance door A. Memorials to Legacy of the Plains Museum may be directed to the Gering Memorial Chapel.
