With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leland M Warner of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, who passed away on February 4, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clay Warner and Dessa Warner (Hulen); his wife Illa; his niece Judy Kay Crossley; his sister Evely; his siblings-in-law, Dale Berry, Lavon Woody (Dean), Ramon Wlaschin (Ray) and Harold Cochran (Maxine); his stepgrandson Matthew Shaffer; and his in-laws, Harry and Lillian Cochran.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Warner (Teri) of Hawaii, Jeff Warner (Michelle) of Independence Missouri, Dixie Scharf (David) of Lincoln and Valerie Rexus of Gering, Nebraska.; his grandchildren, Ryan Scharf (Kenette), Brooks Scharf (LaRonda), Baillie Reisburg (Jeff), Lindsey Ellis (Brian), Cole Coplen (Stephanie) and Katy Warner; his stepchildren, Joni Sigwing (Mike) of Gering and Jim (Roz) of Paxton; his stepgrandchildren, Amy Mae Pullens, Ashley Reed (Tony), Amber Dowdell (Andre), Joshua Shaffer, Jennifer Shaffer, Alica Peterson (Luke), Alex Shaffer, Jamey Shaffer and Nick Shaffer; and his siblings-in-law, Ruby and Keith Sailors of North Platte. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carpenter Memorial Chapel (1616 W B St, North Platte, NE 69101). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Bethel Evangelical Free Church. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Ft. Mcpherson National Cemetery (12004 South Spur 56a, Maxwell, NE 69151).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the family for future designation.
