With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice Nadine Carter of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, born in Comstock, Nebraska, who passed away on July 25, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Comstock and Bernice Comstock (Brecken); her husband Bruce Finley Carter; her granddaughter Stephanie Lynn Carter; her great grandchild Gabriel Jude Essay; her siblings, Leatrice Quick, Lavonne Anderson, Ed Comstock, Bill Comstock and Don Comstock; and her siblings-in-law, Gail Peterson, Grace Andrew, Evonn Carter, Helen Comstock, Eileen Comstock, Yvonne Comstock, William David Carter, Ben Peterson, Jerry Andrew and Jim Quick.
She is survived by: her children, Jeni Denise Jacobs (Jake), Jeffrey Friel Carter, Jason Perle Carter and Jamie Odus Carter (Kelly); her grandchildren, Crystal Nadine Abrams (Mark), Caleb Lee Jacobs, Michael Lee Sapp, Amber Dawn Essay (Joe) and Joshua Finley Carter; her great grandchildren, Hanna Quinne Abrams, Jacob Eston Abrams, Joseph Daniel Essay III, Samuel Elias Essay, William Finley Essay and Evelyn Lucille Essay; her brother Norman Comstock (Sharon); and her siblings-in-law, Juanita Jo Rote (Lloyd), Charlotte Sandra Lissman (Dan), Douglas Eugene Carter and Darold Fay Carter (Joan). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
