It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Pete Karubas (Scottsbluff, Nebraska), who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Karubas and Helen Karubas (Stamatelos); and his siblings, Alexandria, Annie, Frieda, Dorothy, Mary, Nick, Bill, Jim and Louie.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Viola; his daughters, Debra Kildow (Mike), Helen Langhofer (Denis) and Cynthia Policky (Anton); his grandchildren, Geoff Langhofer (Kirsten), Erik Langhofer, Mick Kildow (Darcy), George Kildow (Crystal), Shanna Nevarez (Sam), Ashlee Policky and Riley Policky; his great grandchildren, Hunter Kildow, Grant Kildow, Ava Kildow, Ella Kildow, Camden Langhofer, Karys Leeling, Kadence Leeling, Thais Feldman, Jovee Keener, Sawyer Keener, Henry Policky, Siena Policky and Roy Policky; and his godchildren, Teresa Piccolo and Pete Chikos. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Western Nebraska Veterans' Home (1102 W 42nd St, Scottsbluff, NE 69361).
Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church or Western Nebraska Veterans' Home.
