He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Schmidt, Sr. and Edna Olson Schmidt; his brother Ernie; his sister-in-law Joanne Schmidt, Jr.; his nephew Jamieson; and his niece Laurie.
He is survived by: his caregivers, Tammy, Andrea and Victoria; his sister Joy Carlson (Val) of Gering, NE; his nieces and nephews, Karla Frailey, Bobbi Hartshorn, Cheryl Schmidt, Viletta Freeman (Steve), Kelley Kisser (Anita), Kurt Kisser (Beth) and Many; his pet Molly; and also, Marli, Plus and Miles.
