He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane Saalfeld and Doris Saalfeld (Foust); his children, Vanessa Lea and Nathan Paul; his wife Monica Saalfeld; his brother Rodney Saalfeld; his father-in-law Alvern Hlavac; and his brother-in-law William Bell.
He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Lopez (Marco); his grandchildren, Tiela Hale (Dakota), Deontra Minor, Brittney Minor, Brennan, Enrique Lopez, Christian Lopez, Kristina Saalfeld, Sasha Adams and Jim Narcisse Jr.; his great grandchild Isaiah Hale; his brother Richard Saalfeld (Rhonda) of Grand Island, NE; his mother-in-law Magdeline Hlavac of David City, NE; and his siblings-in-law, Kevin Hlavac (Lori) of Harlan, IA, Claudia Bell of Lincoln, NE, Annette Glock (Bruce) of Rising City, NE and Paula Kenkel (Steve) of Earling, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
