She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Hejhal and Katherine Hejhal (Bocian); her great grandchildren, Cameron Snyder and Payton Phillips; and her siblings, Tillie Krutz, Dorraine Hejhal, Gene, John, Joe, Jim and Donald Hejhal.
She is survived by: her former husband George Nelson; her husband Adolph Jindra of Schuyler; her children, Juanita Phillips (Chuck) of David City, MaryLee Nelson, Beckie Janousek (Dale), Genene Hansen (Dan Johnson), Curt Nelson (Deena), George Nelson, Shane Nelson and Quentin Nelson (Darla Orender); and her siblings, Alice Krenk of Schuyler, Katherine Bayer (Lawrence) of Schuyler, Elsie Alexander of Omaha and Elmer Hejhal of Fremont. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
