He is survived by: his wife Shirley Cech; his sons, Dr. Paul Cernin (Reza Enchayan) of Los Angeles, CA, Patrick Cernin (Mi Hui Wee) of Peachtree City, GA and Philip Cernin (Andrew Kubitschek) of Eden Prairie, MN; and his grandchildren, Jing Ning Amalie Cernin and Sophie Cernin-Enchayan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
