She was predeceased by: her parents, Reginald Reed and Marjorie Reed (Moody); her husband Wesley "Buster" Petersen; her siblings, Margie Lou Jensen and Duane Bullock; and her great grandchild Brody Petersen.

She is survived by: her sons, Keith Petersen (Donna) of Schuyler and Wayne Petersen (Pam) of Plattsmouth; her grandchildren, Cory (Natalie) of Schuyler, Kyle Petersen (Cindy) of Schuyler, Tim Petersen (Angie) of Gretna and Laura Thiesen (Jason) of Cedar Bluffs; her great grandchildren, Layne, Kinzie, Beau, Drake, Cash, Colt Petersen, Everly, Eisley and Lennon Thiesen; and her sister-in-law Gloria Bullock. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
