We bid farewell to Gary Lou Wittwer of Salem, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 11, 2025 at the age of 88. Gary touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wittwer and Grace Wittwer (Windle); his son Thomas Wittwer; his siblings, Frederick, Jack, Richard, David, Robert, Mary Eoff, Janice Kirkendall and Janet; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Frey and Edward Weir.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Wittwer of Salem; his children, Tammie Gillespie (Charles) of Council Bluffs, IA, James "Jim" Witwer (Sue) of Council Bluffs, IA, Cheri Andersen (Scott) of Portland, OR, Gary L. Wittwer (Tammy) of Columbus, NE, David Wittwer of Salem and Alexis Wittwer of Salem; his sisters, Pat Weir of Bakersfield, CA and Kay Frey of Sabetha, KS; and his brother-in-law Randy Kirkendall of Falls City. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Four-Mile Congregational Church (63346 706 Rd, Humboldt, NE 68376).
Memorial contributions may be given to the family's choice with a later designation.
