He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Wessel and Gertrude Wessel (Akin); his wife Mary Jane of Salem; his children, Ed (Andrea) of Crocker, MO, Michelle Wessel of Lincoln, NE, Melanie Rieger of Falls City and Janelle Wessel-Sterling (David) of Iola, KS; and his siblings, Fred (Linda) of Lee's Summit, MO, Anna Marie Segenhaggen (Wayne) of Wetmore, KS, Betty Vest (Gleamon) of Long Lane, MO, Florence Brown (Bill) of Louisburg, MO, Terri Sherman (Bruce) of Peru, NE, Rita Yunghans (Jim) of Axtell, KS, Emma Krogman of Havensville, KS and Julie Wessel of Meriden, KS. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren.
