She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Nedrig and Effie Nedrig (Goerl); her husband Richard Burkhardt; her stepfather George Sachtjen; her sister Joyce; her brother-in-law Dick Cook; her brother Robert Nedrig; and her siblings-in-law, Sid Johnson and Barb Sachtjen.
She is survived by: her children, Ron Burkhardt (Barb Schroeder) of Columbus, Rogene Vopat (Frank) of Wolbach, Kathy Peterman (Andy) of Lititz, PA, Sally Hearty (Brian) of Silver Spring, MD, Sandy Lloyd (Russ) of Lincoln and Lori Becker (Francis) of Kaysville, UT; and her siblings, George Sachtjen, Jr. of St. Paul, Wendell Sachtjen (Jacque) of North Platte, Pauline Johnson of York and Connie Jensen (Steve) of Lincoln. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Palmer Volunteer Fire & Rescue or to the Howard County Medical Center Foundation.
