He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, LaVerne Gaughen and Emma Gaughen (Vacha); his wife Vereen Marie Hormann; his pet Harley; his children, Bridget, Randy Butt of Archer, John and T. J. Gaughen of Harvard; his grandchildren, Zachary Butt, Lindsey Malasek (Riley), Caleb Gaughen, Delainey Gaughen and Brodin Gaughen; his great grandchildren, Beckham Butt and Ralynn Malasek; his siblings, Cathi Gaughen of Central City, Colleen (Jim Clayton), Jeanette (Craig Williams), Chris Gaughen of Central City and Pat; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Gaughen of Hampton, Wayne Hormann of St. Paul and Brenda Bengough of Omaha. He was also cherished by his children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
