With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoAnn E. Schwieger of Saint Paul, Nebraska, who passed away on January 17, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Becker and Jennie Becker (Meyer); her husband Bob Schwieger; her stepson Kevin Schwieger; and her siblings, Raymond Becker, Lawrence Becker, Elmer Becker, Irene Smith and Berniece Stewart.
She is survived by: her son John Verley of St. Paul; her stepson Lyle Schweiger of Loup City; and her nieces and nephews, Debra Rassmussen (Roy), Linda Pedersen (Barry), Mike Becker (Linda), Larry Smith (Beth) and Jack Stewart (Janet).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home (411 O St, St Paul, NE 68873). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:00 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (Jackson St, St Paul, NE 68873).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made for later designation.
