He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias Schimonitz and Theresa Schimonitz (Mollner). He is survived by: his wife Marjorie May Benson; his children, Phillip Schimonitz of Norfolk and Donna Schimonitz of Lincoln; and his granddaughter Rebekah Wetzel of Oakland, California..
