He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Nilson and Edith Nilson (Pedersen); his stepfather Leonard Fowler; his in-laws, Howard and Bonnie Dreyer; his grandchildren, Lance Edgar Nilson and Claire Kaydee Nilson; his great grandchild Harlow Lynn Schrage; his siblings, Debra Nilson, Darwin Nilson and Darrin Nilson; his siblings-in-law, Darrell Dawson, Terry Luse and DeeAnne Nilson; and his nephew Trent Turnquist.
He is survived by: his significant other Dixie D. Dreyer of St. Paul; his children, Clint (Wanda Nilson) of Wolbach, Misty (Jeff Bexten) of Grand Island and Dustin (Sarah Nilson) of St. Paul; his grandchildren, Emma, Cody Heroux, Jacquelyn Nilson, Dillon Boal, Laine Nilson, Mollie, Sam Schrage, Maggie Bexten, Darrin Bexten, Johannah Nilson, Carly Nilson, Coy Nilson and Clay Nilson; his great grandchildren, Killian Heroux and Deklyn Heroux; and his siblings, Margo Dawson of Madison, Myron (Barb Nilson), Howard Nilson of Springview, Karla Luse of Wewela, SD, Cindy (Ted Cook), DeEtta (David Grooms) and Holly (Mike Moore).
