With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellen L. Goerl of Saint Paul, Nebraska, who passed away on August 22, 2020 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Horst and Emma Horst (Hamann); her daughter Mary Ellen; her brother Merle; her sister-in-law Imogene Horst; her sister Opal; and her brothers-in-law, Hollis Steinbeck, Glenn Vanosdall and David Thomssen.
She is survived by: her husband Victor E. Goerl; her children, Barb (Jerry Sack), Pat (John Epp), Mike Goerl of Grand Island, Linda (Rick Goettsche), Kevin (Margy Goerl), Dan (Kristi Goerl), Lisa (Charlie Asche) and Keith (Kendra Goerl); the father of her children Victor Goerl of Grand Island; her siblings, Betty Vanosdall of Grand Island, Margie Thomssen of Lincoln and Bill; and her sister-in-law Sharon Horst of Johnson Lake. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
