He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lanka and Hilda Lanka (Dobish); his parents-in-law, Emil and Elnor Pedersen; his brother Jerry; his sister-in-law Charlotte Lanka; and his former wife Joan.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley M. D. Pedersen of St. Paul; his children, Lana Cruz of Inavale, Leighton "Lee" Lanka of Grand Island, Lori Amico and Karl Grupe of New Hampshire; his grandchildren, Steven Dolan (Heather) of Phelps, NY, Kimberly Prusia (Darrol) of Puebla City, Mexico, Lisa Carpenter (Jeremy) of Lincoln, James Buscher (Crystal) of Lincoln, Jennifer Jensen (Mike) of Hurricane, Amber Knapp of Lincoln, Christopher Amico (Saadet) of Wrentham, MA and Alexandra Amico of Philadelphia, PA; and his siblings-in-law, Lola Sperling of St. Paul, Kathryn Dubas of Fullerton, Clayton Pedersen (Geraldine) of St. Paul and George Wozniak of Evans, CO.. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19, attendance and travel restrictions, a Celebration of Edward's Life will be held at a later date.
