He is survived by: his father Ronald A. Derner (Jan Derner) of St. Paul; his wife Rene C. Ackles of St. Paul; his children, Jared (Megan Derner), Jenna Derner (Austin Backer) and Joelle Derner of Omaha; his grandchildren, Lincoln Elliot Derner of St. Paul and Everly Wren Derner of St. Paul; and his mother-in-law Oline Ackles of Scotia.
