He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Ewers and Elenora Ewers (Matousek); his wife Joan L. Stone; his children, Carol Johnson and Jim Ewers; and his siblings, Edwin, Leo, Clayton Ewers, Helen Mamot and Rosella Rowland.
He is survived by: his children, LeRoy (Judy Johnson), Dan Ewers of Falls City, Mary Jane Molt of Grand Island, Susan (Wayne Knapp) and Gary (Kathy Ewers). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
