Scharton Sr. of Saint Paul, Nebraska, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on May 24, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Marylyn Scharton of St. Paul; his children, Alethea Minks of Olathe, KS, David Jr., Dani Scharton of Vancouver, WA, Ann Wallace and Chris Young of Leander, TX; his grandchildren, Jacob Tubbs, Ethan Wallace and Lani Wallace; his great grandchild Josette Tubbs; his stepdaughters, Stacy (Larry Naeve) and Mary (Danny DeHart); his stepgrandchildren, Brittney Harris, Cade Harris, Brooke Naeve, Maddie DeHart and Emma DeHart; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Paxton Naeve and Colten Harris; his siblings, Terri, Greg Snyder of Loveland, CO, Steve Scharton of Lincoln and Denise Scharton of Lincoln; and his nephew Chad Snyder of Loveland, CO.

Dave was born on Nov. 27, 1952, at Lincoln, the son of Gene J. and Annett C. (Eliker) Scharton.
