She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Hoebelheinrich and Rosann Hoebelheinrich (Suing); her husband Virgil Schmidt; her daughter Brenda; her grandson Taylor Schaffer; her grandson-in-law Kyle Mueller; and her siblings, Richard Hoebelheinrich, Anita Dendinger and Dolores Foxhoven.
She is survived by: her children, Randal, Randy Schmidt (Cathy) of Menominee, Nebraska, Tammy Schaffer (Chris) of Elk Point and Danny Lammers of Yankton; her grandchildren, Matthew Schmidt (Kari Craig), Lakyn Mueller (Dane Boeckman), Cole Schmidt (Kelsey Shoultz), Lindsey Trujillo (Tom), Laurel Keen (Michael) and Katherine Schaffer; her great grandchildren, Abigail, Connor, Ethan, Harry, Reed, Rhet, Riggs, Reese and Kinsley; her sisters, Irma Pick and Diane Rasmussen (Cordy); and her siblings-in-law, Dorthea Hoebelheinrich, Anna Mae Zimmerman (Don), Margaret Schmidt and Quinten Tramp. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
