He was predeceased by: his parents, Fay Eldon and Eleanor Mary Cruise (Draeger); and his grandparents, Guy, Edith Cruise, Otto, Lena Draeger and Gertrude Cruise.
He is survived by: his wife Jan Cruise of St. Edward, NE; his children, Kris Simmons (Tim) of Otoe, NE and Mark Cruise (Sherri) of St. Edward, NE; his grandchildren, Caden and Lacie Cruise of St. Edward, NE; his sons, Keith Simmons (Sarah) of Council Bluffs, IA and Josh Simmons (Cari) of Brunswick, GA; his great grandchildren, Henry, Riley and Mary Simmons of Council Bluffs, IA; his grandsons, Eli and Abram of Brunswick, GA; his brothers, Robert Cruise (Charlotte) of Columbus, NE, Denny Cruise (Shelley) of St. Edward, NE and Larry Cruise (Anita) of St. Edward, NE; and his uncle Lee Draeger (Gayle) of St. Edward, NE. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation to the Ron Cruise Memorial Scholarship through the Nebraska Archaeological Society. The family will collect donations to fund the scholarship which will be awarded to a recipient at the annual Nebraska Artifact Show.
