He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole Thompson and Mary Thompson (Cruise); his wife Shirley Anne Weldon; his siblings, Mary Louise Graft, Les Thompson and Carl Thompson; his siblings-in-law, Beth Evans, Janet Thompson, Lyle Porter, Howard Sallach, Don Graft and Dave Stuhmiller; his great grandchildren, Derek Niewohner and Sadie Gragert; and his close friend Donny Cruise.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Lynn, Bradley Dean, Debra Slaymaker (Dan) of Albion, Vicki Gragert (Steve) of Albion, Steve Thompson (Terry) of St. Edward and Brad Thompson (Sandy) of Ormond Beach, FL; his siblings, Shirley Porter of Casper, WY, Donna Sallach of Albion, Roger Thompson (Maryann) of Clay Center and Gary Thompson (Judy) of St. Edward; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Stuhmiller of St. Edward, MaryAnn Thompson of Franklin, TN, Jerry Evans of St. Edward and Jim Weldon (Rose) of Columbus. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends.
