He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Torson and Hedwig Torson (Zelazny); his wife Dolores; and his siblings, Adam Torson, Frances Torson, Irene Knopik and Viola Loesch.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Van Meter (Darrell) of O'Neill and Kim Torson (Vivian) of Omaha; and his sister Chestyne "Tootie" Davidson of Maxwell. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
