He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Kasal and Adele Kasal; his parents-in-law, Otto and Nora Koch; and his siblings-in-law, Walter John Koch, Dayle, Dolores Kallweit, Richard, Elaine Freudenburg and Hugo Koch.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Kasal of Rogers; his daughters, Kimberly Richtig (Michael) of Hesston, KS, Kathleen Kasal of Council Bluffs, IA, Kristin Vavricek (Jeffrey) of Omaha, Karlyn Cherry (Marc) of Tucson, AZ and Karmen Daake (Brian) of Beatrice; his grandchildren, Heidi Piszczek (Chris), Mack Richtig (Baylie), Meredith Sulentic, Madeline Vavricek, Matthew Vavricek, Christopher Cherry (Chelsea), Colin Cherry, Samantha Daake, Lauren Daake and Colten Daake; his great grandchildren, Bennett and Brooks Piszczek; and his sister-in-law Norma Koch. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the First Presbyterian Church, or the Schuyler Cemetery Association.
