It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilfred Samek of Rising City, Nebraska, born in Abie, Nebraska, who passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Samek and Rose Samek (Kovar); his sister Mildred Wright (Elaine); and his son Joseph. He is survived by: his wife Delores "Elaine" Marker; his sons, Terry Samek (Trudy), Steve Samek and Scott Samek (Connie); his grandson Joseph; his daughter Michelle Streeter (Dave); and his sister Betty Marushak. He is also survived by his 7 children, 23 grandchildren and over 20 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces nephews, and friends.
