With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norbert Rathje of Rising City, Nebraska, who passed away on January 25, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Werner Rathje and Frieda Rathje (Richert); his siblings, Norman Rathje and Arlene; his siblings-in-law, Robert Dittmar and Eunice Ruth; and his parents-in-law, Wayne and Janice Ruth.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce (Ruth); his children, Jill Rathje (Mike Koci) of Fremont and Corey Rathje (Bonnie) of Rising City; his grandchildren, Ashley Eickmeier (Andrew) of Rising City, Sara Johnson (Ted) of Rising City, Carson Rathje of Rising City and Tyler Martens of Columbus; his great grandchildren, Briauna, Charli, Tripp, Arjay, Vanessa, Austyn, Colton, Addilyn and Declan; and his siblings-in-law, Paula Rathje of Lincoln, Stephen Ruth of Rising City, Marche' and Dale Marquis of San Marcos, Texas. He is also survived by Eleven nieces and nephews.
The family has requested IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, PLANTS, OR STATUES, memorials to be directed to Faith Lutheran Church, Rising City VFD, or Family Choice.
