He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ostermeier and Alma Ostermeier (Fritz); his daughters, Amy and Karen Ostermeier; his great grandchild Norah Neff; and his brother-in-law Loran Heins.

He is survived by: his wife Miriam Ostermeier of Rising City, Nebraska; his children, Karna Ahlschwede (Kevin) of Seward, Paul Ostermeier (Rebecca) of Lincoln and Mark Ostermeier (Sheri) of Crete, Nebraska; and his siblings, Lynn Ostermeier (Elizabeth) of Ulysses, Nebraska and Wilma Heins of Rising City, Nebraska. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
