He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel Cerveny and Nettie Cerveny (Bronson); his wife Marilyn Priefert; his daughter Connie Kay Cerveny; his parents-in-law, Lyle and Julia Priefert; his siblings, Blaine, Marie (Ray Snyder) and Nyla (Harold Keilwitz); and his brother-in-law Bob Gibson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Hanquist (Layne) of Clarks, NE and Jeanne Newton (Dick) of Fairbury; his grandsons, Nathan Hanquist (Kristyn) of Lincoln, Gabe Hanquist (Raquel) of Omaha, Brady Hanquist (Katie) of Clarks, Jason Newton (Lauryn) of Denver and Justin Newton (Tracy); and his sister Shirley Gibson of Jansen. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
