Eleanor J. Applebee Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor J. Applebee of Republican City, Nebraska, who passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Hergott and Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Hergott (Korte); her husband Vachel Applebee; her daughter Carolyn Rodgers; and her siblings, Rose Ann Phillips, Norma Carson and Frank Hergott.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve (Melia) of Temecula, California, Jim (Rona) of Bothell, Washington and Bill (Sonya) of Huntington Beach; her grandchildren, Andy, Michelle, Andrea, Lorilee, Melissa, Brittany, Kyra and Ryan; and her sister Carolyn Barnhart (Terry) of San Jose, California. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews; other relatives, and many friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Naponee Cemetery. A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church-Republican City (203 Center Ave, Republican City, NE 68971).
