He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Poland and Lucielle Poland (Finley); his sister Robyn Sayer; and his siblings-in-law, Mavis Poland, David Sayer and Jim Bennett.
He is survived by: his siblings, Alan Poland of Columbus and Ivie Bennett of Lincoln; his fiancé Shannon Mercer; his daughter Dani Poland of Ravenna; his granddaughter Lilah Poland of Columbus; his father-in-law Jim Nutt of Central City; his stepdaughters, Candi Hasbrouck of Cozad, Cassi Mercer of Archer and Cristi Wolfe (Nick) of Cozad; and his brother-in-law Craig Nutt (Ronda) of Park Rapids, MN. He is also survived by niece and three nephews, 7 bonus grandchildren, and 8 great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Govier Brothers Mortuary (542 S 9th Ave, Broken Bow, NE 68822). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church (1000 S 3rd Ave, Broken Bow, NE 68822).
Memorials are suggested to the Ravenna Boy Scout Troop, Ravenna Lions Club, or Ansley Fire & Rescue.
