He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Bruning and Electa Bruning (Porter); his wife Beverly Bruning; and his siblings, Donald Bruning, Elmer Bruning Jr., Bonnie Sutton, Sandra Lee Bruning and Deanna Jurgens.
He is survived by: his sons, Timothy (Christine Bruning), Roy (Christine Bruning), Hastings and Dennis (Julie Bruning). He is also survived by Grandchildren: 14 Great-Grandchildren.
