It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beverly C. Newport of Ravenna, Nebraska, born in Hayes Center, Nebraska, who passed away on December 13, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Nickels and Maxine Nickels (Younkers); her husband James Newport; and her siblings, Delia McGehee and Raymond Nickels.
She is survived by: her children, Don Newport (Barbee) of Westminster, CO, Ron Newport (BillyAnne) of Omaha, Lee Newport (Sherry) of Grand Island and Linda Newport (Laurie Consbruck) of Lincoln; her sister Edith Gardner of Berryville, AR; and her siblings-in-law, Norman Newport (Joan) of North Platte, Bill Newport (Brenda) of Clayton, NC and Gwen Gallup of Weiser, ID. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Memorials are suggested to Seneca Sunrise Assisted Living in Ravenna to be used for scholarships for nursing students.
