He was predeceased by: his parent Cecil; his wife Teri Nolan (Davis); his siblings, Delbert, Robert Richards, Charles Richard, Henry "Jake" Richards, Mary Jo Miller and Albert Bader, Jr.; and his parents-in-law, Bill and Enid Davis.

He is survived by: his daughters, Micki Nolan (Bob Carlin) and Jaime Ray; his grandsons, Tristan Nolan-Ray of Primrose, NE and Justin Ray of Primrose, NE; his siblings, Carol Greek of Los Angeles, CA, John Richards of Columbus, NE and William Richards of Norfolk, NE; his mother-in-law Maggie Nelson of Boones Mill, VA; his sister-in-law Pam Hulquist (Keith) of Rocky Mount, VA; and his brother Fred Bader. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
